I dropped my husband off at a favorite local coffee shop for him to study for an upcoming actuarial exam. As soon as I heard Southern Indiana was getting a birth center, I knew I wanted to deliver there. Even though it meant traveling from Louisville, Kentucky, across the river and into the next state, that was preferable to me over a hospital birth.
My message to anyone reading this is to listen to what your heart is telling you. Do the research and decide what is best for YOU, not anyone else. You CAN do this. Our bodies were literally designed to do this.
